Dr. Richard Chen is the Director and Architect of AUO's Mobility Solution R&D Division and has been leading smart cockpit development since 2022. Dr. Chen’s innovative prowess is exemplified by his groundbreaking work on the smart cockpit for CES 2024, which received prestigious accolades. Previously, he handled project management of display system development and technology roadmap at the Automotive Business Unit. Before joining AUO, he served in R&D positions at China Motor. Dr. Chen has been honored with the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Outstanding Young Engineer Award in 2015 and the SAE Excellent Engineer Award in 2018, recognizing his exceptional contributions to automotive engineering for his engineering excellence.

Since 2022, AUO has consistently showcased advancements in display technologies and display HMI for smart cockpit solutions. Each year, AUO pushes the boundaries of innovation to enhance in-vehicle experience. At CES 2024, AUO unveiled groundbreaking Micro LED display applications, earning the Best of Innovation Award. This speech will spotlight AUO’s collaborative achievements with key ecosystem partners, highlighting the successful debut of the AUO Smart Cockpit.
